Art Flakes Academy, Public Park, and Museum
Art Flakes Academy hopes to become an icon of the national values we stand for, and the Palestinian cultural identity. The design presents an underground academy and museum, while the rooftop is a public green and performing park.
Greenery penetrates through the building, proves hope and is designed upon the idea of fluctuation. So conceptual wise, nature translates the philosophy of the project that there is neither Utopia nor Dystopia and that humans are always struggling. Exactly like plants, inspired by how deciduous plants adapt with seasons, shed their leaves and petals and hibernate through the dark and cold months. Likewise, to bask in the sun, heal, and recharge. Architectural wise, the irregular greenery strips explode yellow flakes “walls”; where both: the color and the shape alert users as well as symbolize creativity and hope. At the same time, environmentally wise, this provides natural lighting and natural ventilation for two basements.
The Park is a green lung in “The Grey Town; Ar-Ram”, it is a performing platform, and a social plaza for all, it’s where the community meets arts and interacts with.
The Museum “ A voyage into the well-known”, it starts with a gloomy tunnel expresses the tragedy of the Palestinian cause and ends with an outdoor stage, passing by many stations full of resistance, hope and art… A dialogue between the past, the present and the future.

Bio
This project aims to accentuate the historical value of the Nabataeans, as part of Jordan’s heritage, in order to enrich the Nabataean Identity. The purpose is to develop Jordanian tourism by exploring missed opportunities. The Nabataean cultural heritage in Jordan is being neglected, or exclusively associated to petra; disregarding other possible attractions. Simulating nabatean architecture in a contemporary way will act as an attraction point to start exploring the link nabatean cities have and their culture. Through the scope of land art, a new approach towards architecture can be achieved. Art and architecture from nature, from rocks, soil, the landscapes and finally the astronomical sky (an element that had always been of significance for past civilisations) can transform our understanding and design approach to architecture in this context. The connection between these elements can manifest into architecture, to show this is to look for a site that backs the idea: Architecture derived from an artistic perspective can become land art, becoming a statement with an attached meaning. The location of the site for this project was concluded through the study of nabatean major cities, settlements, and areas of significance for that civilization. Part of the ungoverned hills of wadi rum were found to be positioned on a long path connecting three settlements: Al-Ula (tombs city) in north saudi arabia to petra (city of science) through wadi rum (the spiritual city). A plateau-hill in wadi rum was picked for a museum to be the link between all three cities to exhibit land art, architecture, and the nabataean journey of science, faith/worship, and death. The tripartite museum is inspired by the siq of petra, with angles that direct users to inform them of the other two cities, each part educating the users on what each city represents.

Bio
Since Amman is one of the most attractive points for it's historical, cultural and architectural context, where it's a city full of vibrant activity from mountains to the lowest point on earth , and its Architecture piece that the topography of Amman which offers a unique context and view that goes back to different dates. Also its downtown provides many different activities for tourists and affordable unique items retails for locals. The Rainbow Street is a successful case for a pedestrian friendly street in Amman, And Ras Alain. Both of them are attractive points for tourists & locals and a vital place and show Amman’s context. My project pins our eyes on the neglected area highlight, analyses the system of locals living in Jabaal Amman, hence studies the behavior of the context in different scales to find the locals needs and respond to them, to pop their economic, social and cultural conditions. Reviving this neglected edge and pumping life in it again, such as the artery that pumps life into the human body, and this revival is formed through 3 platforms, each platform came to meet a specific need of the local residents of the neighborhood to achieve their dreams and give them hope in life. And each platform is represented by a different stop through the Path. The project Targets to levels of users, the locals and the tourists, mainly the locals by focusing on their needs and skills to select the right types of functions and spaces to give them the impression that this project is mainly for them and to provide a better life for them. And for the tourists by giving them the opportunity to see Amman by the locals' perspective, try their daily life, eat their homemade foods, and to be able to view a side of Amman that visitors usually miss. The project tries to offer better life, by opportunities for locals regardless of the different genders and ages. The project tries to offer better life, by opportunities for locals regardless of the different genders and ages it helps them show their skills and gain new ones. ‘’Trade your skills’’ if you have a skill like drawing, cooking, crafting or any other skill you can trade yours by teaching other people in our workshops in exchange we will provide a place for you to sell your products and opportunities to learn skills without paying. The project works on two levels, first of the urban design level which focuses on the image of the streets, the street furniture, guidelines, and then continuity of the path and creating an imaginable image for the user along the path
